Photographing my younger brother’s wedding in Costa Rica gave me a deeper appreciation for the demands of wedding photography and the ways equipment shapes creative choices. In particular, it made me reflect on the strengths and limitations of using wide prime lenses during key ceremony moments.
Testing f/11 on a 28mm lens, I’m finding it offers point-and-shoot simplicity, strong resolution, and minimal tradeoffs compared to f/8, even up to very high ISO.
